There are many aspects that make up who I am and how I operate.

 

I specialise in Governance, having been a trustee for over 12 years, currently embarking on my second role as chair, alongside my positions as a primary school governor, a Non-Exec Director of a Community Interest Company and a committee member for a local theatre charity. I am also a member of both the National Governance Association and the Association of Chairs. I am an associate trainer for Getting 

My favourite part of my work is guiding trustees through governance processes to instil confidence in their own abilities to make great decisions and change the path of their organisations for the better.

 

I founded MiraGold in 2019 to build on my experience of working across the UK for a national educational organisation. Every team, big or small, needs an external point of view to help shape its journey – MiraGold will provide valuable insights and practical tools to allow each member of that team to flourish.

 

Every organisation is unique, with differing priorities and needs – that’s why MiraGold’s services are bespoke, every time.

 

Educated at Northumbria University, I spent 14 years living in Newcastle and am now based in West Yorkshire with a husband, two children, and a Cockapoo!

Osaro Otobo

Osaro is experienced in leading changes in student democracy & governance and also in student equality, diversity & inclusion, leading MiraGold's work in this area.

 

Osaro studied at the University of Hull for her undergraduate and masters degrees. She was a elected for 3 successive years to work in the best interest of students at Hull; she was a postgraduate student trustee and a two-term President at Hull University Students’ Union.

 

From lived experiences, she created the Make Diversity Count campaign which is calling for all UK organisations to have a robust discrimination policy which sets out how they deal with complaints of discrimination in a more effective and transparent way.

Greenhouse is a turnaround, organisational development, and income generation consultancy with national reach. MiraGold is delighted to be working alongside Anneessa Mahmood as an associate consultant.

 

Anneessa is currently a senior leader in a national membership and infrastucture organisation,  OD consultant and associate facilitator at Murabbi Consulting.

 

She is a qualified and experienced professional with a demonstrated history of working in complex non-profit settings. Her experience includes organisational health diagnostics, strategy development, crisis management, governance reviews, facilitation and group processes, networked leadership and leading change. 

 

She is interested in developing ethical organisations with a social mission who want to work in collaborative ways with their people and stakeholders. She has completed a Masters in People and Organisational Development at the Roffey Park Institute. 

 

Anneessa supports clients nationally and is based in Manchester.

Bringing more than just her extensive HR background to MiraGold, it is with great pleasure that we announce our professional association with Carys Jones. 

With an MA in Human Resources and a level 7 qualification in Consulting, Carys will be advising MiraGold on relevant projects and delivering consultancy directly to clients who need her specialist knowledge.

An experienced trustee, Carys understands what trustee boards need when considering HR issues, as well as having herself led on a significant organisational change project with her current employer.
